I was excited going in, having never heard MIKE but loving Earl Sweatshirt. Didn't know who SURF GANG was either but knew that I'd probably enjoy their stuff, I've listened to a lot of Earl in the past, mainly though it's been Some Rap Songs. That's one of my favourite albums from a strange period in my life when I was still figuring a lot out.
As for the music, I think it's repetitive. I hate to say it but I just didn't enjoy it, not a lot happened, I think I might be missing something? I didn't post the review day of because I wanted to spend some more time actually listening to it but, on another listen-through of it last night and a few songs today, I don't get it. It's good but it's not as earth shattered as I thought it'd be. Maybe I was expecting too much :P
