why is the lua run time embedded inside my doom dll
it's crashing in the middle of a tick and i have no idea why
oh my FUCKING GOD i replaced the lua51.dll with one from a debug build of love2d so i could load debug symbols and it stopped crashing
wonder if this has something to do with it
screw it, there will be approximately 1 person ever running the code and it's gonna be me so may as well jsut tell people to replace lua51.dll. i'll look into it when i have more c experience (lol)
it.... still crashes.....
realized i could've been doing the pixel un-packing in C and returning 3 numbers instead of pushing that to lua doesnt fix the freeze but should be imperceptibly faster
this has genuinely been one of the best learning experiences i've had for a while, the final product i'm looking for does not feel as unapproachable as it did
(i expect this to be the workaround i used to get mingw to kinda work. since i'm on msvc now i should (???????) be able to revert it)
may have fixed the freezing. unsure. it felt pretty random but its not happening as quickly after a few tweaks
this balatro boring ah hell
@kopper balatro music over Doom gameplay makes it have a completely different vibe wow
@autumn just a jaunty ol' stroll across mars
@kopper could you port this to mobile i think that would be funny
@autumn i don't have the mobile one. also no idea if the love2d version on mobile even supports native lua modules the mod loader isn't a thing afaik but editing the lua files directly in a modded apk is prolly possible
@autumn Interesting. Looking into it !!!
