One thing I notice about advertising in London is how much of it is dedicated to pets. Pet food, luxury pet food, pet vets, 24 h pet clinics, pet spas, etc. It reminds me a lot of the film Children of Men (2007), where due to living in a world without children being born, advertising is focused solely on pets. I have never seen such a density of advertising just for pets. I certainly see pet adverts back home but not to this level. I wonder if it’s because the cost of living in London is so high that nobody can afford a child, but they can afford a pet.

@yassie_j i love the advertising in london because depending on which location you're in, its like an analogue version of a targeted ad. taking the jubilee line into canary wharf the ads on the train and in the station are all "luxury rentals" and "risk management software" lmao
