@fiore idk if you lose it? if it gets stolen? like yeah its rare but you have the option to be safer, windows + macos do this as standard now too

@fiore its not encrypted but its locked behind a lock screen, can't get through okay.

reboot to bios (because that probably doesn't have a password either) and boot into live distro to take anything sensitive or alternatively just take the ssd out and read it in another pc
