trying to really get into the habit of using the thinkpad nipple. finally enabled the middle mouse scrolling universally. i still think its kind of jittery and i would like to increase the sensitivity

also finally figured out how to increase the sensitivity which makes it both faster to use and less jittery. im pleased

still trying to work out accuracy with the new sensitivity scale but 1.7-2x the sensitivity seems pleasant

ngl, this is nice. i enjoy it. i understand how this used to be the default and why ppl swear by it. frankly if games werent such a pain i could totally see this being my default lol

@coolbean i never got into it but the few times i tried its pretty nice to not move your hands away from the keyboard. i only ever had 4th gen intel thinkpads tho and they don't have buttons on the top (its just part of the touchpad) and so it kinda sucked

@autumn oh yikes. my x270 has an extra set of buttons so im good. its nice

@autumn i might like the soft rim trackpoint cap for it though. the rounded surface kinda puts me at a mechanical disadvantage meaning i have to press a lot harder than i would like

@coolbean every other generation did buttons because of backlash 😭 theres even ways to mod a trackpad from the previous generation onto them lmao.
