okay did my first ever shave with a DE Razor:
- no bleeding! very pleasant actually if not stressful.
- i did end up getting a closer shave, but i still have a 5 o'clock shadow, i realise now it's because my skin is thin or my hair is super thick
- it takes quite a bit of time to do, i was being super careful but i can see myself getting a lot quicker with it in the future
- i used the shaving cream out of the can, but a lot of places recommend using oils for pre-shave & using a soap with a brush in order to get a closer shave & prevent irritation. might try that later

i think overall its pretty good especially considering the price difference between your preferred cartridge vs. safety razor, just a lot more involved. if you shave before school/work then you'll probably have to wake up earlier to do it. i'll see how irritated my face is tomorrow too before i say anymore 😭
