@autumn i actually have a camera already (sony slt-a55) but i have been looking for slightly better (or at least more interesting) lenses

professional photographers online make me feel bad about my zoom lens even though its literally perfectly adequate. idk its weird like i dont have much choice about f-stop for instance i get what i get cause i only have this one lens

@autumn i should make a wrist strap for it, i dont enjoy the pretty decrepit shoulder strap on it but also dont want to be at risk of dropping it

@coolbean i remember when i was big into cameras i saw a video of a guy who kept his camera by putting it on the shoulder strap of a bag (or belt?) it had a little ball mounted on a screw at the bottom of the camera and a mount of the bag that he could slot it in and out of incredibly securely and quickly if he needed to get a shot fast.

@autumn thats neat but im thinking less about general carrying and more dropping it on accident while i use it

though i should probably worry about the prior as well if i dont want to keep it in its bag all the fucking time

@coolbean yeah the shoulder strap is kinda rough, the default one it comes with is kinda butt esp if you get it on the wrong way. i remember seeing super expensive ones are just like this paracord tube shape lol

@autumn 18-135? thats mad mine goes like 18-55 (but thats fine with aps-c 55 is basically equivalent to an 85mm full size anyway)
