400 nits is my minimum since i had the framework laptop and i could use that display outside (in light mode only), 500 nits would be better but atp i'll probably be shelling out way more than is worth

@autumn deadass dont get why one would go ultrawide when you cant even get like.... 48x9 type shit that you then turn into 3 distinct monitors with xrandr or whatever (to avoid bezels inbetween)

@coolbean i just like 21:9, it's comfortable enough for 2 windows side by side but not overly massive to look moronic (imo)

@autumn im honestly currently thinking if 32:9 is cleanly divisible into 4:3 or 5:4 screens

but yea distinct screens are generally more useful imo

@autumn for some reason the division and modulus operator is broken idk. but yes its divisible. id get a bunch of stupid little 1440x1080 screens. thats so cute i love that i need that i want an ultrawide again

@autumn and 21:9 can become 2 1280x1080 screens. perfect
