@autumn There are probably gentler epilators that are designed for faces? Most of them will be intended toward XX-typical facial hair, which tends to be a lot softer and wispier. I've got XY-typical facial hair, stiff and coarse and thick. Plus the skin on your face is a lot thinner and more delicate than most of your body.
But my epilator, on my face... I do not have the fortitude to withstand it. It doesn't quite register as pain, but it's a very strong and highly unpleasant sensation. It starts quite suddenly and I can't leave the epilator close enough to work for longer than I feel it.
On my legs it's no problem. I could do that all day long.
@neia thanks for the info, its just that my facial hair is also quite thick and i was looking at options to actually get rid of that 5 o'clock shadow. seems like the more expensive options are more suitable for the face, i might just go with some facial wax strips for the job.
@autumn An epilator being used on a face describes the very first microgame you play in Warioware: Twisted for the GBA! Also no idea, sorry, never used one outside of the aforementioned virtual simulacrum.
