you can get a temp + humidity sensor thats very high accuracy and also a pressure sensor and a rain meter.. and wire it all up and write some software. that sounds like a really fun project.
@autumn@blueb stuff like wet-bulb-globe takes solar radiation into account too and you basically just measure the temperature inside a black Globe and plug that in as part of the equation its really funny
@chfour@blueb thats so awesomee, i was honestly like thinking to find smth off the shelf that would handle it but it'd be pretty cool to do that from the ground up
@autumn@blueb well the wet-bulb part you can kinda calculate "backwards" from dry-bulb (regular air temp) and humidity i think so yea i think thats the most exotic part its just a thermometer inside a matte black ball
@autumn@blueb ohh yeah maybe someone has written a python module or something. tho personally in the end i want to use prometheus with grafana for data logging and analysis
@chfour@blueb idk why but prometheus + grafana sounds dumb for this in my specific use case Purely Because im like "grafana is for my server stuff, home assistant is for home stuff..."
@autumn@blueb i dont run home assistant at all and i wanna do like proper analysis and stuff perhaps. to me home assistant sounds like itd be kinda basic lol
