louis waine is his name and he gained great fame after adopting a talented cat along with his dame. whom he learned to draw and quickly adore like no little animal ever before. now with a cat as his muse and nothing to lose he started selling his drawings for newspapers to use.
'til amidst war-time none could quite spare the dime to compensate this wonderful artist's precious time and soon too his wife, the love of his life was taken from him amidst plentiful strife. moving back with his family, living off of their charity this wonderful man soon started losing his sanity
'pon attacking his sister this talented mister was comitted to a facility deemed somewhat sinister. an asylum he sought and to one he was brought where soon he was forgotten or so he had thought. see amidst an inspection a man spotted the reflection of drawings he saw in old newspapers' art sections
"are you louis wain?" he asked the man who once found great fame and to his surprise affirmation soon came.
now learning that an artist whom he admired in his childhood was now stuck in an asylum with no coin to his name he became much ashamed and contacted old friends with much haste. soon a fund was created and accomodations upgraded and mr waine soon became much elated for all whom his art had touched now hurried to aid the artist they loved in response to which this picture he did craft
and thats the story behind it. his other art is incredible too like if i could find a good resolution scan for some of these itd be instant wallpaper material
