@autumn linus asked chatGPT, ended up with popOS, still managed to struggle getting l4d2 to run properly. at least he didn't distro hop in the first episode. (comments say he once again chose popOS at the worst possible time- i just dislike using debian-based distros for gaming)

@kopper@ari i mean people pick based on just what they've heard about all the time like when i started using linux i went with ubuntu because thats all i knew and so if there's a bunch of tech influencers a few years back recommending PopOS then they'll have that memory that PopOS was good without researching anything about it (and also feels like you wouldn't even be able to research it because what does "PopOS uses a Debian base and GNOME 3 DE but they're developing their own DE to make the experience better" mean to anyone that isn't in the know.)
