@karebu its so funny because i can see how shit like this could happen in a place like Sony where they've got separate entire companies for literally all their products but google is like a massive monolith, its all in one place. they just haven't coordinated it lmfao
@autumn its like how all of their android apps don't take advantage of the latest android features or styling guidelines like id expect yall to be the reference implementation
@karebu having fragmentation in something like that is even more insane because i can see how webp isnt supported in google docs because they're probably very different departments, but an android app for a google service should use google parts 😠its strange how they made this "themeable" UI and then undermine it with the most important google apps not using it like the Play Store
