i've been encountering some freezing in games on recent nixos unstable with latest kernel

wonder if anyone else has been encountering such issues

i've reproduced the freezing on 2 devices

@oli ive not noticed anything but my kernel may be out of date by a few releases. im currently on 6.15.2 i think?

@oli yeah ive not really noticed anything. i think there was a stutter or 2 in menus or when games are loading but other than that its been basically the same as it was on 6.14 or even nixos unstable-25.05

@oli im using an rx 6700xt and an i7-12700 though ive got a pretty good pc so i dont think my system is pegged at 100% pretty often, but even when i was compiling the kernel i was watching youtube like nothing was happening

@autumn in the case of srb2classic, it happens with both software and opengl renderers

if holding a key, the game would keep the input even if i let go during the freeze

@oli yeah i've not got a ryzen system so i can't really test it out on that lol. both my devices are intel 12th gen and the framework laptop can't really run games that well
