I mean there are a ton of famous companies, Ubisoft, Supercell, Rareware, Rovio, ZA/UM, Mercury Steam, the guys that made the Game Genie, etc. but idk any individual devs that are that recognizable. Off the top of my head are Hempuli (Baba is You) and Robert Kurvitz (Disco Elysium) but they're not like, household names.

@autumn How about Nicolas Cannasse? He created Haxe language (used in many games), co-founded en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shiro_Games and has written a bunch of games.
