on autumnOS /dev/null will be a symlink to your boot device so anytime you wanna 0 out a drive you'll actually be cloning your current one Fuck you

@autumn erm… wasn’t dev null where everyone redirects their garbage output.. so your boot device will be filled with trash

@kimapr no my vision is that its the same as your boot device so any data written to it screws with your boot device and any data written out of it (e.g when you want to securely erase a drive) is just cloning your boot device its my new autumn security model

@autumn you’d have to replace /dev/zero too because that’s where the zeros are at (/dev/null is specifically intended to be empty)
