ever since installing my 32gb of ram when the computer's been on for a while opening obs has a random chance to timeout or just straight up kill the gpu
@demi i was about to make a comment about running some ancient hardware and then i read E3-1270V2 and i used to game on one from the same generation (E3-1230 V2) and then i realised that it still applies because that CPU is like 13 years old , all in all great setup keep up the good work my brain is fried keep up the great work oomf
@autumn this cpu was unused when i got it i upgraded from an i5-2500 which isnt even the right fucking microarchitecture for this board it just worked anyways
it goes up to 3.9ghz and has 8 threads and draws 69w on the dot its fine i love him
@demi i did not share the same love for my boy. i upgraded it from an i5-3570K to the E5-1230v2 and the only noticable thing that was better was cemu performance in breath of the wild emulation ðŸ˜, the year after i got a motherboard for christmas and bought the e5-1650v3 for myself. THAT thing was fucking funny, overclocked to 4.8ghz on 2 cores, rest at 4.6ghz, grew 150w, made my legs sweat everytime i used it. fucking amazing time.
@autumn ive been thinking of swapping out the motherboard on this but its unknown to anyone holy whether or not this board is actually atx compliant. but honestly i am fine with the cpu and honestly motherboard i have and im solely looking into janking in a better card
@demi i believe (but check before you buy!) anything in that era that's LGA 1155(?) will work because that's when intel didn't begin locking xeons down to their old chipsets and stuff.
@demi that e5-1650v3 i mentioned was running on an X99 chipset (although on a really really really really jank motherboard from china that i think used a reclaimed chipset and the BIOS was definitely from another board)
