ever since installing my 32gb of ram when the computer's been on for a while opening obs has a random chance to timeout or just straight up kill the gpu
@demi i was about to make a comment about running some ancient hardware and then i read E3-1270V2 and i used to game on one from the same generation (E3-1230 V2) and then i realised that it still applies because that CPU is like 13 years old , all in all great setup keep up the good work my brain is fried keep up the great work oomf
@autumn this cpu was unused when i got it i upgraded from an i5-2500 which isnt even the right fucking microarchitecture for this board it just worked anyways
it goes up to 3.9ghz and has 8 threads and draws 69w on the dot its fine i love him
@autumn we have advanced very little in the field of cpus in the last 15 years besides adding new extension sets nobody cares about except video editors 👔
@demi honestly this was true before ryzen came out and even intel CPUs in the ryzen era now. that might just be because i've only used them in mobile devices, and the variation between those old intel CPUs is INSANE. the laptop i used when i was 15 had an i7-4200M in it and that's still faster now than my surface pro with the i7-8250U (although i believe that's a case of wattage and something about the surface is just Wrong)
