i should try tea but i don't know where to begin

my mother makes nightly "Tea" but doesn't tell me what it actually is and i Really hate the taste of it

@sneexy i assume its night tea to help you sleep in which case it's probably got chamomile in it. is it like a yellow-ish sort of colour?

@autumn no it's tea to "Help Lose Weight" ( inagine a bunch of twitter clickbait emojis )
i don't even know if it is tea , it's like really dark red and my mother makes it by putting some type of fruit or something in a glass pitcher full of water then putting it in the fridge and just reheating it on the stovetop in a kettle whenever she makes it
