@autumn it's sugriva the chimp bugging out from the infamous "who's toes are those" video. Sadly she is being abused daily by living like a human and chances are will have a shortened life because of it :( she's actually owned by doc antle from the tiger king documentary
@monkey oh god i knew that was sugriva, i've seen the video, but didn't know any of the other context damn. i didnt know that monkeys had shortened lives if they live like people (but it kinda makes sense, probably a lot of eating stuff that's not meant for them)
@autumn yeah that's why anytime I see primates dressed like people or living in a setting outside of a sanctuary or the jungle I just call it animal abuse. You'd think they live longer in homes, but their diet is almost never ideal in a home + they don't have normal socialization with other primates in a natural setting which affects them severely. Even in sanctuaries where their diets are better and they can socialize, they still exhibit atypical social behaviors and stress. They belong to the jungles
