you know with screens taking up the entire front portion of the phone, there's definitely a way someone could implement the notification light on the software level, on the AOD maybe or smth. that would be kinda cool. it would probably work like shit on stuff that isnt OLED tho

i wonder if apps even have support for it anymore, the only reason thunderbird does is because its based on k-9 and k-9 has been around forever

@autumn i mean aod kinda made notifications lights entirely obsolete

i don’t really need to know i have a notification if i can just see which exact notification i have

@halva i've definitely read a thread or 2 of people wanting it back but it's mostly people just being nostalgic rather than being serious i think, it's cool that you can see which notif you have based on the colour of the light but an Icon does the same thing and is a lot less distracting too lol
