@coolbean you can get usb fingerprint sensors too, i actually saw one that supported FIDO as well and probably only unlocks on a successful fingerprint login, which is kinda cool
@blueb mm yeahhh you can just have a passkey inside of the cloud keychain or whatever its called for basically fingerprint unlock of online accounts, that's actually pretty cool.
@ari its amazinggg, i think im gonna buy a fingerprint sensor for my desktop... will probably need to do a bunch of research about which ones work tho :(
that being said it would be so sick to have a key on the keyboard that could be a fingerprint sensor. there would be absolutely no way to implement that in QMK.
@rose@fiore it's funny because this could be either modern-pilled (uses bluetooth mouse, cloud storage) or minimalist-pilled (no mouse only trackpad or thinkpad nipple, sftp etc)
