ok so the "install updates tonight" isn't actually because the updates need to restart your mac, it's just "let us do it while you're not doing anything" but like . when was the last time a mac was CRIPPLED by an update that ran in the background 😭 i mean ig internet speed and stuff but surely there should be an option to just do that shit in the background right...
So I understand now why when I told one of my friends I was listening to Olivia Rodrigo that she told me to listen to SOUR because she claimed that that's the best album. And I understand now listening to having listened to it, what she meant by that. It's quite different though.
The theme is the same, dealing with an ex, but the vibe is completely different from both albums. In Guts she was not afraid to say what she was actually thinking, and in SOUR it's all very somber, which makes a great album, but that's the part that I enjoyed about Guts the most, is that unashamed anger and saying the things that might seem obsessive, but if you've sort of gone through this, you know how it feels when stuff like that happens.
My favorite song is actually deja vu because she does this very interesting thing at the beginning of it where she sort of describes this scene of her and her ex, with the ice cream, and the jackets, and I thought that it's going to be a song reminiscing about how you know things were better when she was with him. But then she goes off and start talking about how that person would do the same thing with his new girlfriend and it's very interesting how it takes your expectations to another area that I personally wasn't expecting.
