@halva flatseal is good for granular control but for sake of user experience its better to just have that or even "will you let app access PATH" that type of thing, and then going into settings to adjust those rather than you need to KNOW what it needs to access and then give it to that.
@halva after using macOS i wish they just did it like that where there's a popup that asks "do you want to let app access your user files?" when it detects the app is tryin to access them. thats so much nicer.
also it sucks but there seems to be a lot of nixos modules that seem to only be tested against the unstable branch and not the stable one, idrc i just switched all my device from stable to unstable since that's still Pretty Stable, but i've encountered this twice with a a format thing not working, first with xml and now with ini because i guess defining those formats is now different?
