also breaking bad felt like they had to just shoot a show, theres interesting videography elements in it but its quite standard imo, but you could tell they were having fun in better call saul
will never forget the better call saul scene where kim and jimmy are brushing their teeth in a large wall mirror, with the camera between them Straight on, and No Camera Visible in the shot.
something like severance or pluribus or smth DOES also have those camera tricks (see s2 beginning scene of severance) but they're either done subtly or spaced out so well that you don't even notice unless you're looking for it, and it makes the show feel more real because instead of wwooaahhh im flying across this mans entire face!! you could realistically be in the room during a scene.
okay they're doing the thing where they show off how much money they have by very clearly using cool camera tricks and CGI and whatever else and i kinda dont fw that but ehhh what can ya doooo

another mostly instrumental album........ but this one i like best imo out of the others i've listened to now.
very interesting where my mind went to trying to find a frame of comparison for this album, the song Aquarius in particular reminds me a lot of King Geedorah's Monster Zero (if it didn't have all the talking) and other MF DOOM instrumental skits/tracks whatever you wanna call them.
Imo a lot of the songs got pretty repetitive after a while but I understand that this isn't an album you probably should be locked in and listening to actively, it's something for the car as oomf said, or on in the background.
I would love to know a bit more lore about it though, the last track with that message about "exercising constitutional rights", did something happen or is that just for aura. Either way, it's pretty nice as a closer I think, great album oomf...
aquarius sounds like it would be in an MF DOOM skit in between the songs with the man speaking with a ww2 microphone and and then they find that there's a big monster that's going to kill everyone
(girl who's only heard instrumental music in the context of MF DOOM's Special Herbs + Spices) Wow this Boards of Canada album is giving me real MF DOOM vibes !
