@unnick you can also got chinese x99 motherboards for relatively cheap with extra features that were NEVER supported on this chipset like NVMe. AND dual socket ones.
(tip from your friend autumn, you can get a 22 core 2014 xeon from aliexpress for about £100 nowadays.......)
apparently hackintoshing on x99 is like. a solved problem now too. which is really funny.
